Many thanks for your help Stuart and Family
Paul or dad as he was known to me has been a member of the NTSC
for 30 years, although newer member may not have had the fortune of meeting
him, as over the last couple of years he has not been able to shoot as often as
he would have liked so has not been down the club much..
Dad was diagnosed with terminal Cancer an number of years ago,
which he beat and was cancer free.
But dad had not been well
over the last 2 years due to problems arising from his diabetes and he had an
open wound on his foot that refused to heal, hence he did not get down the club
too often, he did make sure he attended the AGM even though it was a real
struggle to walk.
On the Monday 3 weeks ago dad collapsed in my arms, whilst I was
helping him get back to his chair. He was rushed in to hospital with extremely
low blood pressure, which is where he spent the last weeks in intensive care
fighting for his life.
In hospital, they drained fluid from his chest. At times he seemed to improve having good day
leading us to hope that it would all be OK, but early that week his condition
deteriorated, breathing problems, kidneys failing, blood pressure falling and
he finally lost his battle on Wednesday afternoon, with his wife Jacque (mum)
and daughter Caryn by his side, unfortunately by the time Anne (my better half)
and I had rushed to the hospital dad had passed away.
He will be sadly missed by
all that knew him.
Work is underway to allow prone shooting on the indoor range.
If you are interested in competing in the annual Wilcox competition entries are now open. Sign up sheet is located in the club house. Final date is yet to be arranged but will more than likely take place in October.
